Exclusive Ramadan Programs in the English Forum
Ladies and gentlemen
We the Supervisors of the English forum would like to congratulate on you on the falling of the holy month of Ramadan, may it encompass you with blessing and well-being Many consider the month of Ramadan a time of leanness and inactivity, but they are wrong. Going by that idea, we the Supervisors of the English Forum decided to approach the holy month with a special touch. We spent countless hours in preparation for the special programs of Ramadan, and we hope you will like them In Ramadan there will be the following One) Today in Ramadan History: A subject telling you of the major historical events that occurred during Ramadan; it will be updated daily until the end of the month Two) Muslim Polymaths: A subject detailing the most famous scientists and thinkers in the Islamic history. A polymath is someone who knows a lot about many subjects, and we had many of them during the Golden Islamic Age, such as Jabin ibn Hayan The purpose of this subject is to let you know about the greatest scientists of Islamic history that you might not know; this subject will be updated daily until the end of the month Three) Ramadaniyat: This subject is like a daily dairy about Ramadan, where everyone is encouraged to post his thoughts about Ramadan and fasting, especially about his first days of fasting and some other funny experiences he had while at young age Four) Ramadan Discussions: These are many subjects aimed to discuss a subject related to Ramadan, such as the point of sleeping countless hours while fasting in Ramadan. Subjects related to Islam in general are also welcome Five) Words of Wisdom: This subject offers cultural sayings of our elders that continued till this day, with invaluable meanings, such as Leave Bread to the Baker, which means one should leave a particular job to one specialized in it. Everyone is welcome to contribute in this subject Six) Ramadan Contest: Unlike the previous contests like Rack Your Brains Contest and Test Your Synonyms Contest, the Ramadan Contest aims to test your general knowledge and your ability to browse for the correct answers. There would be 20 questions, a question a day until the 20th of Ramadan, we didn't want to stretch the contest beyond the 20th of Ramadan in order to give you the chance to double your worship in the final 10 days Every question will have four multiple choices: A, B,C or D. Only one of the four choices is the correct answer. It works like the television contests held during Ramadan, where people sent the correct answers through SMS and the television collects the groups of correct answers and then single out one of them by a draw to be the lucky winner We will do the same in Ramadan Contest: Everyday a question will be posted at 6 PM (UAE timing) and closed at 12 midnight, and we will collect the correct answers and draw one lucky winner of the question, which we will announce the next day before posting the next question At the end, we will draw out three winners: First, Second and Third; each will be awarded 75.000, 50.000 and 25.000 points respectively, as well as certificates This contest is ought to be fun, because you can either try your luck and simply choose any of the four multiple choices, or else you could search for the right answer. Either way you will learn a new information about every question, unless you know about it already This is the modest batch of programs we've prepared for you in the holy month of Ramadan, we hope you will be satisfied with your efforts Ramadan Kareem Supervisors of the English Forum

Ramadan Kareem Thank you supervisors. They are really interesting subjects. I want to know if it is possible to discuss subjects realated to Islam in general such as the evidence for the truth of Islam and the scientific miracles in the Holy Qur'an Best regards |
