Fasting on the day and sinning on the night happens because people think that Ramadan is all about fasting for 15 hours from dawn till dusk, after which is open for them to make up for the time they fasted, whether by consuming food like maniacs or sinning

The essence of Ramadan has not been absorbed by those people, that's why it has become easier for them to contradict themselves

It's shameful indeed

Unfortunately, such people think that fasting Ramadan requires only to prevent themselves from eating and drinking during the day of Ramadan. Any thing else is allowable, even during the day. According to them, it's OK to do whatever they want as long as they don't eat or drink.

This because of nothing but their feckless believe in Allah and their own fancies that controls them.
What a pity. They get nothing of their fasting but hunger and thirst; although I'm sure they wont fell anything since they are in their beds snorting.
May Allah show us and them the right way… Amen

I want to open up a new topic for discussions, and it's related to Ramadan

In Ramadan eve I went to Al-Ittihad Cooperation Association, a major grocery chain in Dubai, in order to buy our rations for Ramadan

The scene I witnessed was horrible: People flocking* the Al-Tawar branch of the grocery chain, women gathering all they could of Vimto drinks in their trolleys, men arguing with salesmen over frozen and fresh chicken that already finished way before they arrived. We ended up with as little as possible from what we had planned, and most of the time was wasted over people cramming the already narrow halls and the never-ending queues at the cashier

Frankly, I felt someone must have leaked a rumor that food would run out in Ramadan even, it would've been the only explanation for that frenzy to grab grocery items before someone else

Ramadan was enforced on Muslims to make them remember the poor ones who subsist on little food, but what is the point of fasting for 15 hours if we would make up for that and more in the Iftar time by gulping** all what a hand can reach and stuff our stomachs to the limit, and even more

Ramadan is also a good chance to lose weights, but with that frenzy over buying and consuming food, people end up gaining much more that they hoped to lose

This is totally insane, don't you agree

Unfortunately brother you are right

there are such people, and of course they are not excused

they show their obedience to Allah by fasting, neglecting the importance of praying that is the column of the religion
