Signs of Science in the Holy Qur'an Assalamu 3laikum Warahmat Allah Wabrakauh Dear brothers & sisters This is the "Signs of Science in the Holy Qur'an" subject. It basically deals with scientific signs in the Holy Qur'an. People are asked to meditate the portents in Allah's creation. There are a lot of them in the Holy Qur'an which motivate us to do nothing but praise Allah; as He says what means in English (And say: Praise be to Allah Who will show you His portents so that ye shall know them. And thy Lord is not unaware of what ye (mortals) do) . [Al-Naml- verse 93]0 (وَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُرِيكُمْ آَيَاتِهِ فَتَعْرِفُونَهَا وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ) [النمل: 93] So here, you will have the chance to meditate 30 of them in the Holy Qur'an ; one each day until the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Signs of Science in Fasting
Signs of Science in Fasting Assalamu 3laikum Warahmat Allah Wabrakauh Today is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, and that's why the first sign of science is about the scientific benefits of fasting Ramadan Allah says what means in English (O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, even as it was prescribed for those before you, that ye may ward off (evil); (183) (Fast) a certain number of days; and (for) him who is sick among you, or on a journey, (the same) number of other days; and for those who can afford it there is a ransom: the feeding of a man in need - but whoso doeth good of his own accord, it is better for him: and that ye fast is better for you if ye did but know - (184)) . [Al-Baqara- verse 183-184]0 (يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيۡڪُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِڪُمۡ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَتَّقُونَ (١٨٣) أَيَّامً۬ا مَّعۡدُودَٲتٍ۬ۚ فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوۡ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ۬ فَعِدَّةٌ۬ مِّنۡ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَۚ وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ ۥ فِدۡيَةٌ۬ طَعَامُ مِسۡكِينٍ۬ۖ فَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيۡرً۬ا فَهُوَ خَيۡرٌ۬ لَّهُ ۥۚ وَأَن تَصُومُواْ خَيۡرٌ۬ لَّڪُمۡۖ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ(١٨٤) [البقرة: 183-184] Fasting has its spiritual and religious merits and dimensions. At the same time this practice of fasting which recommended in all faiths and religious tradition also have great scientific and medical benefits, some of which are shown below:-0 Fasting in general has been used in medicine for medical reasons including weight management, for rest of the digestive tract and for lowering lipids. The physiological effect of fasting includes lower of blood sugar, lowering of cholesterol and lowering of the systolic blood pressure. Ramadan fasting is actually an exercise in self discipline. It is a good way to break bad habit, whether in terms of dietary intake or righteousness, hoping that the effect will continue after the month is over as it is beneficial for one’s entire life. Abstinence from water during the day (from dawn to sunset) causes concentration of all fluids within the body, producing slight dryness. It has been states that slight dryness and water conservation mechanism within the body improve longevity.  Moreover, there are psychological effects of fasting as well. There is a peace and tranquility for those who fast during the month of Ramadan. Personal hostility is at a minimum, and the crime rate decreases. This psychological improvement could be related to better stabilization of blood glucose during fasting as hypoglycemia after eating, aggravates behavior changes. I hope you enjoy it Ramadan Kareem

Signs of Science in Fossils Assalamu 3laikum Warahmat Allah Wabrakauh Today's sign of science deals with Fossils (the preserved remains or traces of humans, animals, plants, and other organisms from the remote past)0 Allah says what is meant in English: (And they say: When we are bones and fragments, shall we forsooth, be raised up as a new creation? (49) Say: Be ye stones or iron (50) Or some created thing that is yet greater in your thoughts! Then they will say: Who shall bring us back (to life). Say: He Who created you at the first. Then will they shake their heads at thee, and say: When will it be? Say: It will perhaps be soon; (51) ) . [Al-Isra- verse 49-51]0 (وَقَالُوٓاْ أَءِذَا كُنَّا عِظَـٰمً۬ا وَرُفَـٰتًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبۡعُوثُونَ خَلۡقً۬ا جَدِيدً۬ا (٤٩) ۞ قُلۡ كُونُواْ حِجَارَةً أَوۡ حَدِيدًا (٥٠) أَوۡ خَلۡقً۬ا مِّمَّا يَڪۡبُرُ فِى صُدُورِكُمۡۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ مَن يُعِيدُنَاۖ قُلِ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَكُمۡ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ۬ۚ فَسَيُنۡغِضُونَ إِلَيۡكَ رُءُوسَ?ُمۡ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هُوَۖ قُلۡ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ قَرِيبً۬ا (٥١) [الإسرَاء: 49-51] The Holy Qur'an in these verses refers to the conversion of the dead into stones or iron (fossils) and this fact has been proven scientifically, not only that but also this fact is now the scientific basis for more complicated studies of paleontology (prehistoric life science)0  In fact, no organic material can remain unchanged for millions of years; and only the hard parts of an organism (teeth, claws, shells, and bones) can become fossilized. The soft body parts are usually lost, except in very special conditions. Bones of animals or humans are fossilized by replacement of its components by minerals. In some cases mineral replacement occurs so gradually and at such fine scales that micro-structural features are preserved despite the total loss of original material. The minerals that usually replace the bones can be divided into into two categorie: stone /rock fossils or iron ores fossils Praise be to Allah I hope you enjoy it Ramadan Kareem

Signs of Science in the Relativity of Time Assalamu 3laikum Warahmat Allah Wabrakauh Today's sign of science deals with the relativity of time  Allah says what is meant in English: (And they will bid thee hasten on the Doom, and Allah faileth not His promise, but lo! a Day with Allah is as a thousand years of what ye reckon. (47)) . [Al-Hajj- verse 47]0 (وَيَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَكَ بِٱلۡعَذَابِ وَلَن يُخۡلِفَ ٱللَّهُ وَعۡدَهُ ۥۚ وَإِنَّ يَوۡمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلۡفِ سَنَةٍ۬ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ (٤٧) [الحَجّ: 47] Allah says what is meant in English: (He directeth the ordinance from the heaven unto the earth; then it ascendeth unto Him in a Day, whereof the measure is a thousand years of that ye reckon. (5)) . [As-Sajda- verse 5]0 (يُدَبِّرُ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ثُمَّ يَعۡرُجُ إِلَيۡهِ فِى يَوۡمٍ۬ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُ ۥۤ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٍ۬ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ (٥) [السَّجدَة: 5] Allah says what is meant in English: ( (Whereby) the angels and the Spirit ascend unto Him in a Day whereof the span is fifty thousand years. (4)) . [Al-Maarij- verse 4]0 (تَعۡرُجُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓٮِٕڪَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيۡهِ فِى يَوۡمٍ۬ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُ ۥ خَمۡسِينَ أَلۡفَ سَنَةٍ۬ (٤) [المعَارج: 4] Today, the relativity of time is a proven scientific fact. This was revealed by Einstein's theory of relativity at the early years of the 20th century. Until then, people did not know that time was a relative concept, and that it could change according to the environment. Yet, the great scientist Albert Einstein openly proved this fact with the theory of relativity. He showed that time is dependent on mass and velocity. In some verses, it is indicated that people see time differently and that sometimes people can identify a very short period of time as a very lengthy one. Allah says what is meant in English: ( He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? (112) They will say: We tarried but a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! (113) He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew.(114)). [Al-Mumenoon- verse 112-114]0 (قَـٰلَ كَمۡ لَبِثۡتُمۡ فِى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ (١١٢) قَالُواْ لَبِثۡنَا يَوۡمًا أَوۡ بَعۡضَ يَوۡمٍ۬ فَسۡـَٔلِ ٱلۡعَآدِّينَ (١١٣) قَـٰلَ إِن لَّبِثۡتُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِيلاً۬ۖ لَّوۡ أَنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ (١١٤)[المؤمنون: 112-114] In the history of humanity, no one had expressed this fact clearly before. Signs of Science in the Pairs in Creation
Signs of Science in the Pairs in Creation Assalamu 3laikum Warahmat Allah Wabrakauh The sign of science of today is about the Pairs in Creation  Allah says what is meant in English: (And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. (49)) . [Ath-Thariyat - verse 49]0 (وَمِن ڪُلِّ شَىۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ (٤٩)) [الذّاریَات : 49] The concept of ''pair'' or "couple" commonly stands for male and female. Today, a scientific discovery proven lately by the the British scientist, Paul Dira, extends this concept to include everything. This discovery, called ''parité'', maintains that matter is paired with its opposite: anti-matter. Anti-matter carries the opposite properties to matter. For instance, as opposed to matter, the electron of anti-matter is positively charged and its protons are negatively charged. This fact is stated in a scientific source in this way: "...every particle has its antiparticle of opposite charge… …and the uncertainty relation tells us that pair creation and pair annihilation happen in the vacuum at all times, in all places." 0 Praise be to Allah I hope you enjoy it Ramadan Kareem
