Something worth fighting for
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmtuallah wa barakatuh - May the peace, mercy and blessings of god be with you all - During my theory of knowledge class we were asked to write a short emotive paragraph. I put a lot of thinking in my peice; and I hesitated a lot before saying it in front of class. One of my biggest surprises is that everybody liked it including my teacher. They all praised me a lot – w el 7amdilallah-.s So after this long introduction I would like to have your frank opinions about my very short speech.s * *♥ ♥ Like rays of light define the sun, like snow defines winter and like beauty defines nature, it defines me. It gives me the strength to stand for what I believe in. It empowers me to do what millions can't do.s My "hijab", my cover, my veil is what makes me stand out; it identifies me in many ways. It reflects true faith from within, dedication to my religion and pride to where I belong. It's more than just a piece of cloth I wear on my head, it conveys my beliefs, protects me from harm, increases my confidence, not to mention the respect I get from people around me. s As a Muslim the hijab has never limited my success, wearing it has always reminded me that my beliefs are worth fight for. My hijab is more than a piece of fabric I cover my hair with; it's defiantly more than a five letter word. My hijab is a part of who I am.s ♥ * *♥ ♥ My Muslim sisters all around the world: be one hundred percent positive that you hijab is worth fighting for.  s Your sister,d Hope
